This position is responsible for business development and bringing new LDF / Commercial accounts into our leading-edge facility.

Position Overview
Being committed to the growth and development of sales opportunities in the Light Duty Fleet market segment, and driving sales into our shop. LDF is a large segment of the retail market, composed of a significant number of fleets, mainly in urban markets, who utilize light duty vehicles to conduct their business, and who require the best products and services available.
Our facility is located close to major industrial areas, and these areas have a strong LDF presence in the market.

Requirements to perform this job

The Light Duty/Commercial Fleet Sales Rep is responsible for performing all outside sales duties to maximize the company’s market share of mechanical service work as well as light commercial tire sales.

The successful candidate will be focused on maintaining and building relationships with all existing and potential customers, and prospecting new business daily. The candidate will also possess a demonstrated understanding of the commercial sales process and a strong working knowledge of mechanical fundamentals of vehicles, and proven abilities with accurate fleet inspections.

The successful applicant will also need to have excellent customer service skills and be able to organize their time around uncovering leads, sales calls, follow ups, tracking and reporting.

Qualifications & Skills

• College diploma preferred
• 2-3 years’ retail automotive or fleet sales experience in the tire industry
• Articulate and compelling communication skills (written and verbal)
• An attitude of professionalism and integrity; a sense of urgency, and the drive to “go beyond” to establish and maintain business relationships
• Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License (full G)

Job Purpose
To be an integral part of delivering “service, value, expertise...to the xtreme.” to our customers. As a Service Advisor you will be relied upon to deliver service excellence to our customers. You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic shop environment.

Position Overview

You will share your tire product knowledge to advise customers on the features and benefits of specific tire models and work with clients to develop appropriate tire recommendations for their unique needs and application. You will use your automotive service and technical expertise to assist clients with understanding their vehicle maintenance and repair requirements and determine appropriate service recommendations for their vehicle.

Requirements to perform this job

The successful candidate will be focused on maintaining and building relationships with all existing and potential customers, and prospecting new business daily. The candidate will also possess a demonstrated understanding of the retail sales and service process and a fundamental working knowledge of automotive mechanics.

In fulfilling these responsibilities, you will:

• Provide service and product quotes, review recommendations, diagnostics and services performed with clients, finalize sales (invoicing and cash-out) and complete client follow-ups
• Schedule client appointments and product deliveries
• Order, or assist with ordering, parts and sub-let services, as required to satisfy client requirements
• Ensure products and services are billed accurately
• Maintain the Xtreme Code of Conduct and Client Confidentiality, and support a safe and environmentally-responsible workplace.

Qualifications & Skills

• Two years’ retail experience in automotive/tire services, or in a similar environment
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and professional customer service skills
• An enthusiastic, team-player, “get it done” attitude
• Excellent communication skills (written + verbal)
• The desire and ability to learn quickly and expertly handle stressful situations and a fast-paced, demanding work environment
• A clear driving record with a full-G license.

This is a full-time position (regular shop hours) with some over time required during our seasonal peak periods (spring and fall), and other special projects that may arise from time to time.

Basic Skills/Requirements:

• Preference given to those with 310S or 310T license
• Provincially-recognized mechanics/trade certification required
• Minimum 3 years' of mechanical service/repair experience (preferably with under-car experience)
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
• Own tools
• Willing to learn and develop skills
• Enthusiastic team player with a "get it done" attitude
• Accountable for actions and decisions
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with Service Advisors

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, service and repair a wide variety of passenger, light truck and commercial vehicles
• Tire mounting, balancing and changeover services (during peak months)
• Reset and repair tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Provide general mechanical maintenance and repair services on client vehicles (car, SUV, light truck, recreational trailer, light duty fleet (5-tonne max)
• Follow company workplace policies and procedures
• Support a safe workplace environment and follow safety policies and procedures
• Report all discrepancies with shop equipment with shop supervisor/supervisor
• Assist shop supervisor/supervisor with any additional tasks/roles as required
• Perform regular cleaning/maintenance in shop
• Attend all staff meetings and training seminars/sessions

Other Duties:

• Keep shop equipment operating (maintain, troubleshoot, repair, etc.)
• Use computer diagnostic equipment

Pay Range depending on experience and licence: $28. to $35./hour. Benefits after probationary period, RRSP

As a Tire Technician, you will be an integral part of delivering “service, value, performance...to the xtreme” to our customers, and will be responsible for repairing, changing and balancing tires (cars and LDF).

Tire Technician Responsibilities & Duties

Using appropriate tools and state-of-the-art tire machinery:

• Change tires, make repairs
• Able to select proper tire sizes, verify correct tire
• Tire maintenance; checking wear/tear, tire pressure, cleaning tires/wheels
• Reset TPMS according to procedures
• Mount/dismount tires without damage to wheels
• Balance, rotate
• Ensure efficient, accurate, thorough communication to sales advisors
• Assist the service team with service recommendations, alternatives and technical explanations
• Perform oil changes on a wide variety of passenger and light truck vehicles
• Assist with minor vehicle part replacements (air filters, light bulbs, etc.)
• Assist with customers’ stored wheels and tires (pre-wash wheels before storage)
• Unloading and loading tire deliveries
• Tire change overs at off-site location
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including tire cart
• Able to complete written reports with accurate detail
• Support a safe and environmentally responsible workplace
• Punctual, reliable, hard-working

Tire Technician Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ tire or garage related experience AND a willingness to learn
• TIA (Tire Industry Association) course completions are an asset
• Able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
• Strong customer service focus, team player, “get it done” attitude
